Text Box: Larry Gispert– Director Emergency Mgmt (holding folder) receives a Board of County Commissioners proclamation for September 2010 National Preparedness Month. Text Box: The Sun City Center CERT team (left) deployed to assist HCFR at the County’s 2012 Hospital Surge, Mass Casualty Drill held April 10, 2012. The team deployed at Tampa Tech and directed 400 student victims to triage and buses to area hospitals… while maintaining communications via amateur radio with the Emergency Operations Center. Volunteer organizations play a key role in the County’s response plans.
